CEREC
We use CEREC technology to create dental crowns, inlays, and onlays. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramic. We also utilize computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) with CEREC.
This means we can take digital dental models of a patient’s teeth to create their cosmetic restoration. As a result, many of our patients can receive customized same-day dental crowns in our office.
3M True Definition Scanner
The 3M True Definition scanner is a great modern alternative to messy, uncomfortable dental impressions. This handheld, intraoral scanner takes digital impressions of the teeth.
We use a tablet connected to the handheld scanner to access visuals of the teeth and gums. Because of this, we can easily create dental crowns, dental bridges, veneers, and oral appliances with these visuals. We can also use these impressions to map out orthodontic treatment with ClearCorrect.
CBCT Scans
Dental Cone-beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scans can create 3-D images of the mouth. With these modern x-rays, we are able to see a full, detailed picture of the teeth. CBCT scans are integral to treatment planning.
We often use CBCT scans to plan dental restorations and implant treatment. This option also has significantly less radiation than traditional x-rays.
